Blessed…

Getting ready for our kid’s service

Looking back on our time so far in Israel, we have been tremendously blessed and shown extraordinary favor. We were able to come to Israel debt-free in August and we had already bought our major bedroom furniture when we had arrived. We have been provided for and sustained in every way. My (Matthew’s) secular work has allowed us to work remotely so we can earn personal income. We had each accidentally lost/broke our respective eyeglasses on the way to Israel or shortly after arriving. However, our dear friends in Texas heard about it, pulled our prescriptions, ordered new glasses on their dime, and shipped them to us in Israel! God is truly a faithful provider and has not allowed us to lack!

…to be a Blessing

In our congregation, God has been blessing us in numbers with growth of not only believers, but unbelievers as well. In Herzliya, there is an international college called Inter Disciplinary College (IDC). This semester, many students have joined our congregations, plugging in not only to the services and volunteering, but also in our community groups and times of going deeper. We have recently had members begin to bring unsaved friends to congregation, not to pressure them into a religion, but just to experience the living Yeshua. This is huge!

Our congregation has also begun a new ladies community group (community groups are small groups that focus on building a community outside of service times). Daniela has been leading the women in a weekly devotional, encouraging one another with Beth Moore’s group discussion series, “Breaking Free.” Meanwhile, the other community groups seem to be growing, consistent with the desire for deeper community from within the congregation.

Our service times have been experienced a real sense of the presence of God in worship and prayer. Matthew has continued to work with the children, teaching from the series entitled “God Speaks.”

Other Ministry

Late September, Daniela was able to be a part of the Feast of Tabernacles Conference, a time when people from all over the world come to worship, learn about the Christian’s connection to Israel, and gain a heart for the land.

Interdenominational Worship in Jerusalem

Then, on November 4th, Matthew and Daniela were asked to be part of an interdenominational time of worship in the Old City of Jerusalem. It took place in the Greek Catholic church, where Protestants, Catholic, Messianic, Arab Christians, Baptists, Lutheran, Charismatic (and I’m sure other) believers came together with one mind and heart to just adore Yeshua. It was a historic and beautiful time!

Please pray with us:

  1. Holy Spirit would continue to draw people from this community to the congregation and work on hearts.
  2. Continue to pray for a move of God in Herzliya. We are sensing him drawing us deeper in him during our times together.
  3. Continued increases in favor, both for us and the congregation. As the congregation grows, we will have to expand how we reach out, get people planted and discipled, and eventually the space we will meet.
