August 2021 Update

America and Back Again

After 6 weeks touring Texas, we are finally back home in Israel and back in the saddle of God’s work here in Herzliya. We have had a fruitful time in the U.S., and we were blown away by God’s faithfulness. We had the opportunity to spend time with our immediate families and have a little “down time,” which was very needed. We also had the opportunity to visit and speak in churches in Dallas, Austin, and our home church in Killeen, and share about what God is doing in Israel. Daniela was also able to record most of the tracks for her upcoming worship album, while I (Matthew) joined a conference for my secular work. It was an invaluable time to connect and share the vision with others. With safe and easy travel there and back again corona-free, we are now back into the ministry with the congregation and the young people in Herzliya. September will begin our Bible Study again; please pray that we grow in number and in Spirit!

New Year

With the new school year coming up, and thus new students joining us, autumn in Israel is also the time we celebrate the Biblical holidays of Rosh Hashanah (Hebrew New Year), Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), and Succot (Feast of Tabernacles). These are the holiest days in the Jewish Calendar and carry marked significance as the shadow for what Yeshua (Jesus) has done for his people and the world. As we celebrate these feasts alongside Israelis, pray that the Holy Spirit allows us to bring out more than intellectual parallels, but the real living Yeshua in the midst of celebration. It will not happen unless we are full of, and walking in, the Holy Spirit, so our congregations is pressing for a deeper infilling of the Holy Spirit during this time.

Personal Updates

We are having a scheduling issue with our Hebrew language class and are unable to begin again until the winter. I feel this is from the Lord, but we are praying and practicing so that we do not lose what we have already learned. Please agree with us in this. Our son, Alon, is transitioning into 1st Grade at an all-Hebrew school! This will be exciting, but also challenging, so we appreciate you remembering him in your prayers.

Worship Album

We are getting closer to finishing Daniela’s album. We know God is in this project and have been so blessed by our home church and others who have helped finance the production. We are hoping to finish the recordings of these 8 powerful worship songs by the end of the year and have it available on Apple Music and our website. We will keep you updated!
