Young Adults trip to the Galilee

Winter Updates

Hello friends! This newsletter has been a bit delayed as we had a few challenges this winter. In late January, our entire family contracted COVID-19, and thought the symptoms were not severe, its effects on our minds and bodies persisted with fatigue, sporadic sicknesses, and brain fog. It seems we are coming out if it now, and much of our congregation had, in turn, been infected and recovered in the past 2 months.

Despite this, our congregation is continuing to grow, both numerically and spiritually. We have grown to almost 100 members attending every week, with many others who are part of our community that cannot join every week! We have 3 discipleship groups meeting throughout the week and recently our congregation purchased a van to help with transportation needs.

Students continue to join us from the local Reichmann University, including unbelievers who have been invited and subsequently compelled to visit our community. On top of that, we have been so blessed to have my (Matthew’s) mother visit us for 2 weeks for a mini vacation to see the land and what God is
doing here in Herzliya.

Momentum

One of the things that we love to see is people growing in God. How do we measure that? It can be difficult to put into human terms, but Yeshua gave us ways to see this – the fruits of their life (doing what he tell them to do),their speech, their hunger for prayer, increased accountability and openness, faith in action, willingness to serve, believers’ love for one another…and so much more.

We are seeing so many in our congregation that are excited to pray, that want to open up and become more like Yeshua on a deeper level, who desire to serve in any capacity, an increased effort to speak kindly to one another and encourage.

While we often talk about the big flashy aspects of success in ministry, it is also important to highlight these subtler signs of growth are the ones that matter – that’s what God sees. Man may look at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart.

Our Needs

Our only major need right now is tuition to continue our Hebrew class. We should begin the next semester in April and the tuition is about $1400 per trimester. Any extra donations that come in will be used to cover these fees.

Our requests to pray for:

  • Continued growth in our community (numerically and spiritually)
  • The unbelievers coming to our meetings
  • Next semester in Hebrew class
  • Grace to complete our worship album
  • That sickness not slow our momentum in faith (in us or in our community)

Im praying all your needs be met. That you will pick up more sponsors. Always asking God to show me who. Also can’t believe I’m the luckiest grandmother in the world to have such a beautiful grandchild. May the Lord always keep him safe and blessed. Love you all
